FAQ

HR and Talent Development Leaders

Why should our company consider adding Career Development as an Employee Benefit?

Human Capital Institute found that Developmental Opportunities rank as the number #1 requested Employee Benefit by all generations. Followed up by flexibility, advancement opportunities, and Better Benefits. Consider adding Career Development benefits that your employees are asking for!

We already have training programs, why do we need more training?

Career Development is critical to the success of your organization. While training in groups is important for messaging and setting the right direction, it doesn’t appeal to the individual needs of your emerging workforce.

Who pays for the Coaching for Employees?

We charge a small PPPM (Per Participant Per Month) fee as a part of your employee benefits package and allow the enterprise to fund an employer paid wallet for specific employees to receive coaching. Alternatively, we offer a voluntary benefits service that can be added to your employee benefits portfolio for all employees. The enterprise would pay for coaching for the employer paid wallet and employees would pay for coaching when a voluntary benefit is chosen.

What types of Career Coaching occurs?

We focus on Career Development in 3 categories. Culture, Talent and Strategy. These categories are intended to enhance the good work your organization is already accomplishing, by making the 1 on 1 coaching personal and unique to each individual. Employees can receive coaching in 9 categories of career development:
1. Building High Performance: is the foundation of effective teamwork and collaboration
2. Career Empowerment: find your voice and amplify your message
3. Wellness: commit to a healthier and happier future
4. Innovation Coach: develop a framework for capturing your ideas
5. Leadership Coach: gain confidence, build trust
6. Transition Coach: Take the next step in your career
7. Financial Acumen: navigate corporate finance
8. Project Management: create actionable plans ready for implementation.
9. Sales and Marketing Effectiveness: ask the right questions and build long term relationships.

What type of Career Coaches are on your platform?

Our Career Development professionals come from a variety of business industries and diverse employment and cultural backgrounds. They have credentials from the International Coaching Federation and other established certification programs. Many of our coaches have Ph.D.’s in various business disciplines. All of the coaches on the platform must meet the LeggUP coaching criteria.

Are your coaches regional, national or global?

We have coaches all over the world with the majority in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. Our coaches speak many languages to meet the needs of individual employee backgrounds.

Do you offer life coaching or consulting?

Our coaches do not offer life coaching, consulting or anything outside of specific career topics. To see all of the career topics for coaching visit our home page.

How do you ensure quality of your coaches?

All of our coaches must meet the LeggUP Coaching Criteria. They must be a part of the International Coaching Federation, have a master’s degree or higher, or on an exception basis have 10 years in a particular discipline. All LeggUP coaches are interviewed by our LeggUP coach onboarding team.

Do you score or rank coaches?

We allow our users to provide feedback and ratings for the experiences they have with their coaches. Coaches receive a star rating and comments from their learners.

Are your coaches trying to help or recruit my employees leave our company?

No, career coaches are trained in understanding the employee and helping them reach their full potential at their existing company. That may mean helping to determine a more appropriate career fit for the employee, but we are not a job site or job search company.

How will I know who is using the coaching?

We offer HR and management reports to help you understand where individuals are receiving coaching. We offer utilization reports and statistics at the group level.
